The uttarīya is a loose upper body garment that was worn by both men and women in ancient India. It is known to us as the angavastram/dupattā of today. This uttarīya is made with non-violent mulberry silk, one of the most luxurious fabrics in the world. Embroidered onto this garment is a sacred shloka from the Śrīmadbhagavadgītā — one of its most profound teachings, a whisper of eternal truth.

Each piece is handcrafted and truly one of a kind. Slight variations in construction, fabric, or colour are natural characteristics of handspun and handloom materials, and handcrafted products. These are not flaws, but rather signatures of the handmade process. They are a testament to the individuality and character of each garment.
